The freakiest thing to do this Monday January 2nd is the Freak for All open mic at E-Street Cafe, please come on in and share your music/poetry/peformance/soul on stage at E-Street from 7-9 PM. Takes place on guess which street in downtown Encinitas...

The only smart thing to do this Wednesday is go see Mattson 2, Todd Day Wait and Edify live at Bar Leucadian BIG WEDNESDAY JAN 4th 9 PM sharp. No Kooks, No Cover. 1542 N Coast Hwy 101.

January 18 will be next Poetry Ruckus featuring the incredibly talented and awesome Mr. Rolland Tizuela who still hosts Glassless Minds open mic (poetry/music) every 2nd and 4th Thursday (12th and 26th this Jan) up in O-Side in their new locale @ A Word with you press: 802 Tremont St., Oceanside, CA 92054. Our Ruckus will be @ Ducky Waddle's 414 Coast HWY 101. Local Poets are encouraged to e-mail Michael (ruthlesshippies@gmail.com) if they would like to to perform.

Ruckus turns terrible two

What a long strange trip it's been putting on these Poetry Ruckuses for the last two years at Ducky Waddle's. I have so many new friends, poems and experiences to be grateful for. I hope that you can join us this Wednesday October 26th to celebrate the Ruckus the same way it started: in Halloween costumes!!!

If you're not the dressing up type, please join us anyway. Doors at 7 PM, reading by 7:15 and our most excellent guest Jared A Muscat by 9 PM. Jared is a neo organic beatnik surf bum activist poet whose flavorful words have graced the Ruckus since before it was the Ruckus.
