Ruckus turns terrible two

What a long strange trip it's been putting on these Poetry Ruckuses for the last two years at Ducky Waddle's. I have so many new friends, poems and experiences to be grateful for. I hope that you can join us this Wednesday October 26th to celebrate the Ruckus the same way it started: in Halloween costumes!!!

If you're not the dressing up type, please join us anyway. Doors at 7 PM, reading by 7:15 and our most excellent guest Jared A Muscat by 9 PM. Jared is a neo organic beatnik surf bum activist poet whose flavorful words have graced the Ruckus since before it was the Ruckus.

If you want to rea for about 5 minutes, please RSVP to ruthlesshippies@gmail.com. If I don't hear from you, there will probably still be room.

-WORD on the 3d Monday of every month, so 9/19 is the next poetry at E-Street cafe hosted by Mr. Dylan Barmmer.

PRE SHAUX

You heard about Mad House VI yah? You know, that amazing night of live electronic music, dancing and art taking place at the Belly Up on 4/20? The one where we're raising money to support Ducky Waddle's Emporium through an insanely sweet silent auction with works from Mary Fleener, Shepard Fairey and more? Well, guess what?

We're doing a pre- Mad House VI show live at the Duck, for those of you who can't get enough Mad House or can't get out on Wednesday or just aren't old enough to enter the Belly Up.

Come see awesome electronic duo: Gaux Nu Vaux play a special acoustic set, and catch 'Ruckus/Freak for All' regular Starfish (aka Molly Mackin) open up the night with her golden voice.

This show is free, but we are suggesting a donation of books, CD's or anything else you think might be bitchin' new inventory for the Duck. Just don't be offended if Jerry puts it in the dollar bin!

If you are familiar with the Ruckus, then you surely have heard Ed's starkly hilarious poems and short stories before. And if you are new to the Ruckus, then you certainly will not want to miss this performance from the man whose musings range from Caliphate paranoia to Tarantino-esque Teletubby blood baths.
